Don Baughman

Don Baughman serves as the Managing Director – Origination at Mesa Power Solutions, where he leads origination efforts for power projects across U.S. energy markets. With over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, Don has held diverse roles spanning trading, asset management, and marketing/origination. His career includes impactful contributions to utilities, independent power producers, financial institutions, and renewable energy developers such as Enron, ENGIE, Duke/BNP Paribas, EDF Trading, Southern Power, and AES. Throughout, he has remained focused on delivering win-win solutions for customers and driving commercial growth strategies.

Don holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and a Master of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He is also deeply committed to community service, actively volunteering with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Ducks Unlimited and the Knights of Columbus.

A dedicated member of NAEMA since 2012, Don was elected to the NAEMA Board of Directors in 2025 and currently serves on the Conference Committee.
