Professional Bio
Dan Cummings is a 35-year technology professional and owner of Manage.net LLC, a Twin Cities-based technology consultancy and managed services provider specializing in technology strategy, IT assessments, infrastructure design, and implementation projects.
Founded in 2001, Manage.net LLC serves a diverse range of clients including professional associations, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations across the Twin Cities and beyond. Dan has worked closely with associations on technology strategy, systems modernization, and the practical challenges of selecting and implementing association management software that actually fits the way organizations work.
Dan currently serves as technology advisor to NAEMA and has been involved in the association's recent transition to the Novi AMS platform — working through the implementation from data migration and configuration through go-live. That hands-on experience is the foundation for today's session.
Before founding Manage.net, Dan was a co-owner of gofast.net, one of the Twin Cities' leading internet service providers during the early commercial years of the internet. Prior to that, he spent a decade in technology roles at the University of Minnesota — a foundation that shaped his approach to complex, mission-driven organizations and the people who depend on them.
